We have been working for a long time to try and organize an event to help promote nudism to the public. There are other places in the country that are organizing bicycle rides and such to promote the normalcy of doing activities while undressed.
We will be staying the weekend at Cypress Cove and they are helping us to sponsor the event by offering discounts at the resort. The entertainment will be Streak at Cheeks on Friday night, Saturday poolside will be DJ Xavier 12-4. Saturday night at the restaurant there will be a band RED TIDE. Sunday Silent Scream will be poolside 12-4.
Cypress Cove will give a discount on the rooms to full member rate and on camping to $25 per person for the whole weekend. You will need to mention CAN WE when you register. Also those that participate in the event at Huckleberry Island will obtain a wrist band and be able to enter Cypress Cove for free for the day 8/15/15. (This is $25 value for non AANR people)
We have a vehicle access permit to allow 10 vehicles and 50 people into Huckleberry Island on August 15, 2015. It is our intention to promote that nudism is a good way to live, and socialize. We will not be nude at the park. We will be wearing clothing with the names of Nudist Resorts, or from events we have been to such as Nude Run, Bare Necessity Cruises, etc. Those that don't already have an item with a logo should purchase a $5 shirt from the store at Cypress Cove that says Ask Me about Cypress Cove.
We will have a table set up that will have information about naturist groups. The public that are interested can get a wrist band to obtain entrance into Cypress Cove for the day.
Any of our folks that are interested in a particular activity at the park should get in touch with Patti. We will likely have a photographer that could help teach about sports photography and nature photography. There is trails that you can ride bike or hike. Cold water, gatorade type drink and snack packs are available.
It is the intention of our group to also show that we are good Stewards of any facility we use and leave it better than we found it.
